NOTE: The adaptor seen in the last two pictures in NOT included. These pictures are only shown as a reference (for the appearance, the specifications, etc). I do NOT have this adaptor. The specs on the adaptor state positive tip (center) and negative sleeve (ring), But I really believe that it is the opposite. NOTE: the info on the pedal's bottom label states "Use.... negative ground power supply" so that might be why the pedal can still work fine with a negative tip power supply. A lot more details about the power requirements of this pedal are in the description.

Up for grabs is a used (kind of vintage, from 1981) DOD 575 Flanger (ANALOG) Performer Series. MISSING the battery cover.
Here is a link (for the battery cover) in case you would like to purchase the battery cover from another seller:
This pedal has a little less than light average wear. Look's good for its age. The casing is very rugged.
- This line (the Performer Series) was designed to be ‘studio quality’ – running at 18 Volts for higher headroom and studio fidelity. This is very important for a flanger as it is typically used with distortion, and higher voltage means your signal will pass through unclipped. Built like a tank, made in America.

NOTE: NOT part of this listing - and NOT listed yet - I have a used DOD 555-A Distortion (Analog) (from the 1980s) Performer Series pedal available for sale. As well as a used DOD FX35 Octoplus . I plan to list them in a couple of day. Feel free to message me if you want to check it out.

The pedal 575 Flanger pedal for sale in this listing was tested and it works fine.
NOTE: it's possoine that when you turn the SPEED control maxed out the the right - you can might a very low tapping sound. You just have to back off a little (slightly turn it counter clockwise - NOT turn ALL the way to the right) and then you do not hear it. This is a common "thing" with some older Analog Flanger and Phaser effect pedals. Sometimes I hear it and sometimes I don't. The last timr that I used / tested out this pedal - basicly a a few daya ago to test it out before lisitng it - I did not hear this very low tapping sound. But about a month ago I did.
The inside was cleaned up - the old foam that was crumbling / disintegrated has been replaced with new foam. And I'm including a piece or two of extra foam.
The pots are NOT scratchy.
Since the under-side of the bottom plate HAD noticeable discoloration - I decided to sanded it / clean it. Even though it was then clean. I took it a step further and and sprayed it with one coat of light gray spray paint. So it looks nice. See picture # 4.
The finish on all sides of the casing has a light textured appearance (kind of like a hammered on finish).
Going by REVERB's condition criteria - I put it's condition as VERY GOOD. But some people might feel that it is in between Good and Very Good shape.
Further down in the description I plan to write details about the cosmetic condition of each side / each area. If this info is not added and you would like to knwo this info - please message me. For now - please refer to the pictures.

The circuit board has SIX chips (listed below) Feel free to ask for close-up pictures of the chips:
- F4007UBDC 8152 INDONESIA
- 201 (going down vertically) A TL022CP MALAYSIA
- NE571N 8210 S
- M8211 LM324N
- F4007UBDC 8152 INDONESIA
- SAD5120 R 28690
NOTE: When looking at the bottom of the pedal - with the bottom plate off --- the lower right area of the circuit board has an internal trim pot / trimmer (small round black plastic part with a very small white center (kind of looks like a tire). And in the center of the whte part there's s a short dash-like hole / slot. SEE pictures # 6 and # 7.
This internal trim pot is at the sweet spot. There is NO need for you to adjust it. If you adjust it from its current position very slightly to left or very slightly little to the right- you might basically get the same flange effect (or you might loose the effect). Other positions do NOT have the flange effect (if anything very minimal). Whereas - the sweet spot has the correct flange effect. By the way - I already investigated this.
- In case your wondering and / or in case you do not know - to turn / to adjust this internal trim pot - you insert a flat narrow precision screw driver (or something similar) in slot of the white center part and turn to the left or to the right (there is a stopping point in each direction).
- Even thought the outer edges have ridges - it's just way more simpler to just use a precision took to rotate the trimmer instead of using your fingers. Also when you rotate in either direction - there is a stopping point Therefore stop-- and rotate in the otherr direction.
- But as I stated- there really is no reason to adjust thsi trimmer since it is at the sweet spot and the sweet spot is the only position where you get the effect sound.

Going by REVERB's condition criteria - I put it's condition as VERY GOOD. But some people might feel that it is in between Good and Very Good shape.
Since this pedal is several years old and it was used - it has imperfections (but nothing too extreme).
Here are specific written details for each side / each area:
- Left Side of casing: Near A+. The lower front area has a very small nick and a few very tiny light nicks.
- Right Side of casing: Generally clean - but not 100% perfect. It has some short & very short scratches (most are kind of light - but a few are deeper). And it has some tiny and very small nicks.
- Front Side of casing: Near A+. It has a few tiny nicks.
- Back Side of casing: A+
- Battery Cover: MISSING (NOT included)
- Top Side of casing (tannish gray areas): Main areas are A+. The outer areas and edges / corners have a few tiny / very small nicks and a few short scratches.
- The Black Plastic Piece that you step on (to turn the effect on / off): It has several visible scuffs and it has surface discoloration. And it also has a coiuple of tiny & very small nicks. Works fine when you step on it to turn the Flange effect on / off.
- The upper center yellow and black metal plate (below where the controls are) is mostly very clean / fine. The yellow area above the number 7 has a very small dot impression. The lower ares has a few very tiny nicks.
- The pedal has all of the KNOBS. The knobs mostly fine with a few very light surface imperfections - like a few surface cloudy spots (really nothing serious).
- The center black graphic that says Performer is very clean.
- The RUBBER on the BOTTOM: It's very clean.
- The BOTTOM LABEL: With the exception of a few light hair-line scratches, some light surface cloudiness, a couple of tiny & very small bumps -- it' fine / clean. The black print is fine.
- OUTER areas of the BOTTOM PLATE: Some areas of the metal border around the label has some surface oxidation / cloudness The areas around / near the screws have light circular scratches (seen when the screws are off).
- The INSIDE IS CLEAN (casing / circuit board): You can remove the foam pieces to cut them to your liking. But they are there for insulation purposes (to prevent metal to metal contact).
- The under-side of the pots have light discoloration, tiny rust spots, and some of the white graphics had fade off (cause by the old foam - as mentioned above- the old foam was removed and new foam has been added).
- BATTERY CLIPS: The oval shape areas with the +/- battery connections have a weird design. At the moment they are fine - but they do have a tendency of coming apart. I will include two unused battery clips in case you need them for a future repair. If you do not know how to do this - you can see people doing it on YouTube. Personally (from experience I would just cut the existing wire in half and make the connection on the wires -- not at the jacks, etc (just less hassle to do it this way). You would need Soldering Iron, Solder, and Electric Heat Shrink Tubing (these items are NOT included). Or have your guitar tech or friend do it for you. I can do it for you upon request (NO additional cost).

The controls are: Regen. (regeneration), Width, and Speed
The jacks are: Out, In, and power [the power jack is on the back side and it is for a 1/4" (6.35mm) plug].
What is strange is that the original model power supply states that the tip is positive and the sleeve is negative. But in reality it is the opposite. I used to have some DOD power supplies that were "compatible" with the Performer Series pedals because they had the 1/4" plug and they always made the pedal buzz (did not work properly with the pedals). The pedals always worked fine with the two batteries. So I always thought that the adaptors were defective. And when I recently did my "experiment" with what I explain below - when I reversed the polarity with a Truetone 1 Spot CYR Reverse Polarity Converter (along with the other items I point out below) the pedals buzzed. Therefore I feel that the power requirement is actually negative center.
I do NOT have this item - but while doing research I came across this item (on EBAY) which you can connect by following some of the info that I describe below:
- 6.35mm 1/4” TS (MONO) Male to 3.5mm 1/8" Female Mono (TS) Audio Adapter Converter Cable (it is similar to what I have in # 1 -- but both ends are MONO and is is a very short cable instead of just the short plug end.
NOTE: Here's an idea for what you can do for the power supply:
If you have a Dunlop ECB-004 18v adapter (which is 18v negative center) - get the following (by the way I have a lightly used Dunlop ECB-004 adapter available for sale upon request - message me):
1) Hosa GPM-179 (model #) Mini Stereo to Mono 1/4 inch Headphone Adapter (model name)
- which is 3.5mm TRS (stereo) Female to 1/4" TS (MONO)Male Adapter (I have this item available for sale)
- Does not matter that it is stereo because it will only use the mono ring.
or Livewire Essential Stereo 3.5mm Female TRS to Mono 1/4" Male TS Adapter Black (I have this item available for sale). Does not matter that is is stereo because it wil only use the mono ring.
2) Truetone 1 SPOT 3.5MM converter (model C35) (I have this item available for sale)
I did test out this pedal doing what I just described.
*** If you do not have an 18V power supply - I highly recommend that you get a Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7 (multi outlet power outlet - mostly used on pedalboards - but useful is you have a variety of pedals with different power requirements / and different power jack sizes. It has one jack specifically for 18v pedals (barrel end 2.1mm). But you also need # 1 and # 2. NOTE: # 2 is part of the CS7 when you get it new. However - it might / or might not be included if purchased pre-owned. Hope this helps 😁
Yeah - all of what I just explained is kind of tedious - but it does the job. DOD was very foolish to have designed power adaptor / power jack, etc for the pedal the way that they did. Oh Well. And it pissed off EVERYBODY (including myself) that has gotten a used DOD Performer series pedal without the adapter. @#%! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME, REALLY MAN!!.....
Please message me for info pictures, and prices of these items and please message me to make arrangements for purchasing any of the items that I just mentioned. NOTE: the shipping / packaging cost will probably increase for International locations due to the extra weight. The s/p cost will stay the same for USA locations (because I can use a flat rate package).
--
I took pictures of all sides of the pedal. There are some pictures of the inside of the pedal. And the first picture shows what it comes with. Please message me (or make an offer) if you only want to buy the pedal or if you would like to buy the pedal with certain items presented in this listing.
NOTE: There may be some imperfections that I overlooked. There are some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures. Also - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections. dust specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.
