This Circa 1900 Stradivarius copy violin is another example of Triage Guitar Shop of West Palm Beach Florida saving another classical musical instrument from extinction.

Triage bought this violin from a family that has owned it since 1922 and they believe it is from 1900. So we know it is over 100 years old. It showed some age. but not as much as the case.

The stamp inside the F hole indicates that it is a Strad copy made in Czecho-Slowakia. The spelling is in line with the presumed age.

The following is a list of actions taken to restore this instrument and its original case to its 120+ year old glory.

Cleaned pegs and peg box

Cleaned tailpiece

Glued and clamped open body seam at bottom bout

Cleaned violin body

Cleaned and tightened end pin

Touched up finish with light wipe of matching stain

Cleaned and polished hinges and lock

Rewound case handle with leather strapping.

Also included are a new bow and original bow needing re-hairing.
