About This Listing

Pinball and rock 'n' roll were meant for each other. This vintage game has some serious rock 'n' roll history!

This 1976 Gottlieb Surf Champ spent the last couple decades at Aerosmith lead singer and rock mega legend, Steven Tyler's massive Massachusets estate. Tyler kept his collection of vintage pinball and arcade games in his pool house to entertain guests. When a fallen tree destroyed the pool house, the prized collection was moved to the singers garage before shipping them to us.

“Surf Champ” designed by Gottlieb in 1976, is widely considered the best pinball surfing game of all time. The official record says the production reached a total of 1,070 units, but serial numbers of “Surf Champ” compiled by fans indicate that over 4,000 machines were manufactured.

We gave it a thorough cleaning and servicing. New rubber bumpers throughout. The game works and plays great. All the lights and bumpers and scoreboards work but the scoreboards don't reset at the end of a game. We're working on fixing that now.

The painted frame of the machine shows some wear, just enough to give it a great vintage vibe. You can see the game in action, dingin' the bells, lightin' up the board and rackin' up a big score in the included video.

Steven Tyler autographed the side of the machine with his words of wisdom "The older the better, Steven Tyler", referencing his fondness for vintage pinball machines.

This vintage game with some serious rock and roll pedigree would be the crown jewel of any rocker's man cave or game room.

Comes with a photo of Steven Tyler posing with the game and a certificate of authenticity signed by Mark Dirico, Steven Tyler's property manager. It will ship by freight or pick up in Seattle, WA.
