About This Listing

THESE TREMS WORK GREAT AND STAY IN TUNE!!!

Designed and hand-made in the USA, the patented RTO Tremolo/Vibrato is the result of years of trial and success by Ray Olsen. He uses his dad's old-school tools to create the most effective surface mounted tremolo/vibrato system available today. It is truly amazing to experience this unique system. It uses extremely well-designed geometry to provide less stress on strings, leading to smoother operation and less string breakage. The way it glides due to this lack of stress on the strings is almost unfathomable to players who have struggled with trems over the years.

The Deets:

  • Surface mounted with included mounting plate, usually with no additional drilling required.
  • Standard fit: Telecaster (immediate delivery).
  • Custom mountable to almost any other solid or semi-hollow body (30 day lead time).
  • STAYS IN TUNE. PERIOD!!! EVEN ON THE 12 STRING VERSION!!! Yes, it's true; RTO's 12 string chord bender works like a charm on electric 12 strings. (See attached video)
  • No locking nut required.
  • Roller type fixed bridge transfers more sound due to additional contact points for the strings.
  • Linear feel to the mechanism.
  • Minimal adjustments required after installation.
  • Less string stress, leading to fewer string breaks.
  • Hand crafted of aluminum, brass, and stainless steel
  • Brass and 12 string versions available at $699 (PM us for special orders)
