Ernie Ball Earthwood Acoustic Bass 1972? very rare

Incredibly rare bass guitar - maybe the holy grail of acoustic basses? If you're looking at this you probably know something about em'... I was told by the previous owner that this was made in 1972, but have no way to confirm - this could be a later one as the depth of the body is 6". The length of the body is 24 and 3/4". The serial number on this is 1047, which as I understand means it was the 547th earthwood bass produced as the serial numbers started at 500. This version of the bass has the strings coming thru the body into the bridge.
On to the condition: this is not a showroom piece, although still stunning in it's own right. There are finish checks throughout (non structural), which look pretty cool against the aged finish. There are some marks on the binding edges but nothing coming undone or structurally unsound. The neck and frets are in nice shape and it plays and sounds great, the action is medium and comfortable to play. Booming, loud, and warm.
The bad: There are 2 cracks pictured near the bridge. From what I can see (I have not reached into the sound hole) they do not appear to have been repaired. While this doesn't seem to affect the sound, I would recommend a repair to preserve a guitar this rare. Please see pictures and ask questions concerning these as I am not a luthier but will answer to the best of my knowledge.  Also present is a shallow divot forming towards the sound hole side of the bridge, a common problem with these caused by pressure on the bridge. This does not appear to be too severe, I tried to take a picture from a side angle but it doesn't really show up. The tuners (Schaller) are functional and there are no visible extra holes drilled; not sure if there are holes under the present tuners.

I would prefer to ship this bass insured because of it's value to protect both myself and the buyer; shipping will include insurance. Local pickup is available and encouraged in San Diego, with hand delivery elsewear available in southern california for a fee (likely same as shipping fee).
