This Les Paul Custom is a hard to find variation with factory all nickel hardware (aged in this case as part of the VOS package) Custombucker pickups which are in our opinion way superior to the standard 490R/498T set that comes in most Les Paul Customs.

The neck has a feel similar to the typical "50s" C-shaped Gibson neck, not too thin, not too thick, but with some taper.

measurements:

0.832" at the first fret
0.997" at the 12th fret.
Nut width - 1.69 inches
Weight - 9.45 pounds

serial starts CS 100*** - I was sold this as a 2020, but could be a 2021 based on below:
Custom Shop regular production models
CSYRRRR
CS stands for "Custom Shop"
Y indicates the production year
RRRR indicates the guitar's place in the sequence of production

The action is low and fast with all notes ringing clearly at all frets over the genuine ebony fingerboard. It sounds great, clean, overdriven, or through high gain. I've always found Custombuckers to be highly versatile pickups, and they are no exception in this guitar.

Pet/Smoke free home. Never gigged.

I rated this very good condition. Reverb states that very Good describes items with more cosmetic imperfections than Excellent, but are still in great condition overall. There may be some scratches, finish dings or buckle rash, but nothing that affects the playability or function of the gear. Very Good items can have more minor cosmetic imperfections. This is a used guitar and I have highlighted any blemishes or issues below. There may be more due to the nature of there being a used guitar and how closely things like this bother you. Any questions or any desires to see additional photos of specific areas of the guitar should be addressed before buying.

Please note:

  • It has surface scratches all over the guitar (body, neck, etc). The hardware shows a very small amount of corrosion, both of which appear to be consistent with the VOS aging process. Finish is smooth and has an almost matte appearance/feel because of this.
  • There is a some "pinking" on white binding of the guitar. Most notably being the binding on headstock in front of the tuners.
  • There is a little overspray on binding of upper fret
  • Some visible glue residue where the neck meets the body. You can also feel the seam between the binding and the neck, but not overly.
  • The back of the headstock is stamped "DEMO". Likely originally from the gibson demo shop here on reverb, but this was purchased from Rhythm Man guitars. I know some might worry about the demo moniker but this is honestly a better build quality than my other non-demo, standard custom. I do not believe this was a mod shop guitar, but contacted gibson to find out. I have not heard back from them as of 3/15/24.
  • As this guitar is used and has other minor play wear and imperfections (swirls, pick scratches, buckle rash, etc) , some of which listed on the demo shop sheet. You are aware you are buying a used instrument that has gone through an aging process. It has been played, but not abuse. You expect and acknowledge there will be wear according to regular playing.
  • Due to the nature of used instrument, temperature shifts and shipping, this guitar may require a setup to get the guitar to your preferred playing style and feel.
  • Please note: I do not offer refunds. I am more than happy to take new photos and video for you. Some of these are the photos from the shop I purchased from and were just better/easier than me taking some.
  • The guitar will be boxed and protected by pieces of foam to isolate movement in shipping. I take photos before shipping. I am not responsible for shipping damage. If there is shipping damage, I will do what I can to assist you. I have not had this issue in the past. Shipping price includes shipping, packaging materials, insurance and pickup to ensure fastest and safest delivery. By bidding on this auction you agree to this.
  • Please review my refund policy and understand before ordering.
