Eric Johnson Stratocaster Wiring Harness For Fender Stratocaster 300k CTS .1uf Oak Grigsby 5 Way

What is it?

Hand-wired Eric Johnson stratocaster wiring harness upgrade for American or Mexican Fender Stratocasters.  The Eric Johnson wiring has 3 main differences when compared to standard strat wiring.

-The .1uf capacitor has a wider affect on the the high end and mid frequencies.  When the tone is all the way up on 10 you will notice the sound is a little warmer and with slightly rounded off highs.  The tone control has a smooth taper when rolling back on the tone.  When the tone is almost all the way rolled back it produces a warm, creamy, fuzz tone.  The .1uf cap was originally used in old teles to try to emulate a bass guitar tone.  Fender started using them in some strats in the mid 50's. -The 300k volume pot is slightly brighter than a 250k.  This helps balance and bring back some of the highs that are naturally lost by using the .1uf cap.

-The middle tone controls the neck pickup and the bottom tone controls the bridge.  There is no tone control for the middle pickup.  Hand wired with the highest quality parts and cleanest solder connections from a professional guitar tech.

-300k CTS volume

-2 x vintage style CTS 250k tone pots

-V/T/T (master volume, middle tone for the neck, bottom tone for bridge)

-.1UF Ceramic Disc capacitor

-Vintage style pull back cloth wire (7 strand 22 gauge wire for the clearest signal path)

-Fender Vintage Stratocaster Aluminum Shield

-Oak Grigsby 5 Way
