For sale is a very rare and sought after first generation Sennheiser MD409-N branded for the Echolette company.
There is no distinction between the Sennheiser 409 and the Echolette ES14. They are virtually identical mics. This particular mic is in extremely good condition. The capsule is extremely healthy boasting a wide and full frequency response. These mics are considered the holy grail of dynamic microphones. They are most commonly used on guitar amp because of their smooth frequency response and ability to handle high SPL. This was the Pink Floyd go to microphone as well as Daniel Lanois’ staple guitar amp mic across decades of recordings.
