Collings O-1 , 2017 -Lefty - Pristine image

Sorry, this listing has ended.

This is a 2017 Collings O-1.

It's about 6 weeks old. I need a bigger guitar for playing at church, so I have to sell this to raise funds to buy another larger guitar. I really don't want to sell it, but I have no choice.

The “O” size model by Collings Guitars are very special!  While one might expect these 14 fret “O” guitars to sound “small”, most people are surprised by their volume and their immense practicality as a “travel” instrument, as a couch instrument, a recording instrument and in many cases – a full replacement for a large guitar that has outlived its usefulness. As we get older, playing a dreadnaught or a jumbo present a real challenge to our worn out shoulders - they aren’t what they used to be 20 or 30 years ago.

I have found the best thing for my enjoyment these days is my man cave, a glass of cold beer, my dog and a great Collings “O”!!!!!!!!

Specs for the Collings O can be found on the Collings Guitars website.

One custom option I need to mention is that it was built without the standard popsicle brace, which gives the guitar a more open and "broken in" tone - it sounds like its been played for several years. Awesome option, not offered by allot of luthiers.

The neck is mahogany with an ebony fretboard, 1 3/4" nut.

The neck profile is a Vintage Now neck. Specs on the Vintage Now neck can be found on the Collings Guitars website.

It has a K&K Pure Mini System installed.

CONDITION: I purchased this guitar 6 weeks ago. It hasn't been used a whole lot. There are no dings or scratches of any kind on it. The pick guard is free of pick scratches. It looks like a show room model, pristine in all ways. It’s been kept in a smoke free and humidity controlled environment. You won’t be disappointed.

Mahogan/ Sitka guitars have a very focused, “woody”, warm sound/tone. All Mahogany guitars tend to sound full, warm and sweet, with clear note to note focus. These guitars are favored by fingerstyle players, and excel especially for acoustic blues. The midrange is strong, producing a strong, focussed “sweet” tone. I have found this guitar to be the best studio, recording guitars I have ever owned.

This guitar lists for $4,200 as a new guitar.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have!

I have a no return policy because I am not a dealer. But, I will refund your money paid if the guitar is not in the condition described in this listing.
