Randall RM100 MTS Head Modded by Dave Friedman - Includes Synergy Modules!

I recently picked up a Kemper, so I'm selling off some of my tube gear.

This particular head started life as a typical Randall RM100 before being modified by the great Dave Friedman at Rack Systems, Ltd. Although I don't know the technical specifics of the mods, I do know that he altered the power section to be more like that of a Marshall, and changed various components in the input stage to improve clarity and tightness. The difference between this head and a typical Randall RM/Egnater MOD is not subtle, with the improvement being especially noticeable when using higher-gain modules. 

Included with the sale are three of the new Synergy modules--SLO, HBE, and VH4. Together with the Friedman-modded head, they sound absolutely incredible. Additionally, the HBE has a vintage RFT Siemens 12AX7/ECC83 in the V1 slot, which really gives it a nice growl. (Note: Since the head has not been modded for dual-channel operation, you'll only be able to use one channel at a time on each module. There is, however, a dual-channel conversion kit available in the aftermarket.) 

The head is loaded with a properly biased 6L6/EL34 power-tube combination that I feel provides the ideal tonal balance with these modules. The tubes have very low hours, as do the preamp tubes installed in the head and modules.

As for condition, the head is very good, while the modules are mint. Please review the accompanying photos, which show the various small nicks on the head shell and chassis. A three-button Randall footswitch and cord are included.

Friedman only modded a handful of these Randalls in the late 2000s, and it's extremely rare for one to come up for sale today. If you've been considering getting into the modular scene, this is a perfect way to do it.
