On consignment we have a one owner 2010 Gibson J-45 Rosewood Custom Acoustic-Electric guitar w/OHSC in Vintage Sunburst. This guitar is in good condition, but does show lots of top scratches and signs of use (see photos). Similar to a J-45 Standard specs, except has Indian Rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard/bridge, gold hardware, a herringbone bound AA Sitka top, abalone top trim, abalone peghead inlay and an LR Baggs element pickup. Not a Custom Shop guitar, a small batch catalog guitar with variations made from from about 2009-17. Again, at its core in terms of measurements, similar to a 2010 J-45 Standard (per Gibson customer service), 1.725" nut width, standard .83" at the first fret, .90" at the 9th, slim taper neck profile. MOP dot inlays, standard style bridge pins. 12" fingerboard radius. Thickness of the body at the end pin 4 3/4". Truly a superior material quality, made in Bozeman, Montana. Forward X-braced, this guitar is a cannon, and one of my favorite modern Gibson acoustics I have played. In our opinion, this guitar is ideally suited for a working artist who needs a tour worthy guitar and will continue to wear it in. You certainly don't have to worry about scratching it.
Condition-- Shows lots of light scratching and signs of use on the top from use, some wear to the peghead veneer, some wear to the gold hardware, a small bit of wear to the back of the neck, but no dings or abuse. Again, lots of top scratching above the front of the sound hole, and below the real of the sound hole form a low, flat and long picking style. For sure though, if you don't like to see scratches on the top of your guitar, this is not the guitar for you. Take a look at the photos, and keep in mind that the scratches show more in person than the camera can catch. This guitar has had some play, but never gigged. Excellent fret and fingerboard health. Shop set up w/DR Rare. 12s with an action (12th fret crown to bottom of string) of 1.9 mm, plays great open or with a capo. Weighs in at 5#. Electronics are healthy and sound great. Forward X-braced, this guitar is a cannon, and one of my favorite modern Gibson acoustics I have played.
