For sale by original owner: 1986 Ibanez Pro Line PL2550 in Silver Pearl.
Japanese crafted, semi-custom series guitar in excellent shape with some wear and a few minor dings in finish as shown in photos. Guitar has been well cared for and maintained (electronics cleaned, fret board cleaned, restrung, and strobe tuned at regular intervals). I have delayed selling the guitar for several years due to how well the instrument plays (straight neck, low action, versatile pickup selection, stays in tune, and great tone).
Features an offset double cutaway body with neck through body construction.
Alder body wings are glued to a maple and walnut neck running the length of the guitar with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with shark tooth position markers.
Includes Ibanez pickups with an IBZ triple-magnet humbucker at the bridge and Super 7F single coil pickups at the neck and middle positions and an licensed Floyd Rose Bridge with a locking nut.
The PL2550 has a 5-way pickup selector switch, volume/tone controls (tone knob is also a push-button style coil tap for the humbucker). The guitar also has a 5-push button pickup preset system. The white push buttons allow any combination of pickups. The black button near the bridge is a tone coil tap, and the black button near the bridge pick up selects between the standard 5-way switch and the preset system.
