Yamaha has produced some great entry level guitars throughout the years, and the FG400 is consistently regarded as such. A natural spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a rosewood fretboard give the FG400 the base of a traditional guitar. This familiar construction allows for the guitar to play and sound like a proper guitar, which is vitally important when first learning the instrument. This is a guitar that one can learn the basics on, as well as grow into.
