A local customer of mine, Mr. Wayne Clark, built this violin back in 2008. He's from Middlebury, VT and so it's a very local instrument. Wayne has been a member of the Champlain Valley Fiddler's Club for a long, long time and while the group is on the decline at the moment, it used to be a powerhouse for all the fiddling wildmen in the area.

He made it from scratch after taking a class on violin construction It had some setup-side wonkiness and a few details needing attending to when it arrived, but Andy dialed all of that in and now it's playing nicely. It has a good, solid, clean sound and an interesting, orangey-bright finish.

Repairs included: minor peg adjustments, fingerboard plane, minor touch-ups to fingerboard edges, bridge work, setup work, soundpost set, etc.

Condition notes: it's more or less "new." Everything is in good order but the neck angle is a little shallow and so a lower, more-old-school, bridge is fit to it. The fittings are all nice-quality.
