This is a Mapex Deep Forest Cherry kit, made from 100% cherrywood with gold hardware. There was a limited run of these kits made in the early 2000's along with a Deep Forest Walnut version. This one has a vary rare 8" tom, one of only very few ever made!
This was seen as the very top of the range at the time, and something that Mapex has repeated recently in their Design Lab Cherry Bomb range.
Sizes are - 22x16 Kick, 8x8, 10x8, 12x10, 14x12, 16x14 toms plus holders.
As you can see from the pictures, I currently have maple hoops on the bass drum, but I still have the original cherry hoops too. Both maple and cheery hoops will be sent along with the kit if you want them.
This is an amazing kit with an amazing sound, a true one off!
