Here for sale we have a Yamaha FSX5 Electro Acoustic Guitar in a Semi Gloss finish. Built in Japan in 2020, this guitar features an all solid construction comprising a Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, African Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A Bone saddle and nut are fitted, along with Chrome Yamaha open gear tuning machines. The pickup in this guitar is an Atmosfeel system, with an undersaddle piezo, contact sensor and microphone. These are wired to master volume, mic blend and bass EQ controls.
The African Mahogany neck sits very comfortably in the hand, with a profile that could be described as a Soft 'V', feeling slim in the hand and offering ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant to the touch and adds a sense of luxury, and with its 15.75” radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface making both chordal and fingerpicking styles of playing a breeze. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face of the headstock shows very light markings which are hard to discern against the grain of the wood.
Neck: Overall very good condition. This guitar has had a neck repair to the highest standard and does not affect the structure of the instrument. On either side of the nut a slight crack can be felt in the playing position from the neck repair, not affecting the overall playability.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light scratching and denting is present to all surfaces of the body. This is most noticeable to the treble side of the upper bout on the front face and to the bottom of the lower bout.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.
