1966 Ampeg AEB-1 "Scroll" Bass in original Red Burst finish. It has a good playing neck with great frets. It's all original and 100% complete with the only exception being one decorative silver top for one of the knobs.
It still has its original bridge cover/hand rest, original hardshell case and original paperwork for this model along with paperwork from an Ampeg SB-12 Portaflex amp purchased by the original owner who is seen playing this bass in the included photograph from 1969.
There is some seam separation along the top and bottom edge of the body as well as the upper edges of the sides of the body where the back was glued to the sides of the body. These issues are more cosmetic as the bass itself remains structurally sound.
It looks great with natural play wear including; nicks + dings, finish checking and other cosmetic wear. All electronics work and sound great as its original design was to emulate the sound of an upright bass.
