Agop Tomurcuk, the founder and master cymbalsmith of Istanbul Cymbals, dedicated his life to handmade craftsmanship and innovation in cymbal design. His notebook contained a lifetime of cymbal making secrets and ideas destined for the eventual creation of this series, it was the last project of his life. These cymbals with their very unique finish, color and sound qualities, are some of the most exciting cymbals ever seen and heard. Crashes offer paper thin and trashy feel with dark, dry tone and low pitch, short decay. Rides are very subtle, provide ultra dark, very trashy and complex sound, dry stick definition with warm undertones and mellow crash ride capabilities. Hats are extremely dry, dark, and have a crisp chick sound, overall lower tone with rich, fat sound when played on the edge.
