Fender mustang modded to Skystang 1. This is a 2004 CIJ fender mustang mg-69 modded in the same way that Kurt asked Ernie bailey to do when Kurt was on the in utero tour. Skystang 1 was his favourite guitar and was used for most of the in Utero tour.
This guitar is brand new and has been kept in the case since 2004, no marks or scratches.
The closet you will get to Skystang 1 looks and sounds. Better than the Kurt Cobain models that just don’t have the quality put in.
The bridge has been replaced the same with a TOM Gotoh Nashville style.
The bridge pickup has been replaced with a white Seymour Duncan sh-4 and the neck with a stock 1993 single coil.
The switches sanded down as requested by Kurt so not to knock them whilst playing.
The pickguard is exact copy of kurts made by lomic guitars. You cannot get these anymore!
The guitar neck is a 7.5 radius same as Skystang 1. Same machine heads etc. A shim has also been added and the action has been set to the same as Kurts.
The body is a sonic blue mg-69 shape same as Skystang 1.
Strings are the same gauges kurt used 10-52 and guitar has been shimmed and set up the same as skystang 1
