You don't see many of these floating around.

First series Squier Contemporary Stratocaster. This guitar is Made in Korea and in very good condition, I’m pretty sure it is an ‘89 model based on talking to people more knowledgeable than me about Squier's. This definitely from the first series of the Squier Contemporary line and not the Squier II series. The guitar is Frost White but it appears at some point during production it was originally painted “Razz Berry” because around the trem claw you can see the Razz Berry paint (pictures included). This is definitely NOT a refinish but the factory for whatever reason changed gears and repainted it Frost White. The white has pearl in it that I tried to capture in the photos. Guitar is all original other than the licensed Floyd Rose that came on it has been replaced. The original licensed Floyd had a mismatched bridge saddle on the high E string that didn’t work on that bridge because it's a string thru type and not a clamp type. I couldn’t find the proper replacement saddle for it so I just replaced the entire Floyd bridge with another licensed Floyd that was as close as I could find to the original. This turned out to be a plus because the replacement was in slightly better shape and included the bar which the original didn't have. I’ll include the original bridge if you want it (picture of original bridge included). Original string nut clamp is also intact.

Body has a few small chips and paint fading but still looks good especially for being over 30 years old. Neck is smooth and lots of fret left. Has the usual surface neck pocket cracks but it’s just surface imperfections and is nothing structural at all. Back plate doesn’t appear stock to me as it doesn't match the control cavity cover.

Sounds good and plays great with a very comfortable neck. There is an anomaly with the wiring however. The bottom tone control affects positions 2-3-4 but the middle tone control has no effect on any of the positions so the neck and bridge positions have no tone control. I opened up the control cavity and there’s a wire from the bottom tone control that goes nowhere (picture included) so that is an issue but I’m not a wiring expert so I’m not going to monkey with it. Sounds good as is but would be nice if that issue was rectified for tweakability.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions Or make an offer. Worst I can do is say no :)
