1964 Gibson 12-string Acoustic Guitar
Handsome looks, all original! Action is great!
Lacquer crazing on body top, one bent tuner- 2 " crack professionally repaired (see photo-on front),
SPECS:
Introduced in 1962, the Gibson B-25 Guitar had a flat spruce top on a mahogany wood body, with bindings Gibson stopped production on the B25 12 string acoustic guitar in 1970, however production of the B25-12-N kept on till 1977 (same acoustic guitars but natural finish). The B-25 had Kluson Deluxe tuners, a rosewood bridge, and a trapezoid tailpiece, as does mine. From what I've read, the trapezoid bridge holds up much better than the fixed bridge - which makes sense since these 12-strings put a LOT of tension on a guitar. I believe my guitar has a rosewood neck with 20 frets and pearl dot inlays.
The Gibson's exact physical dimensions: 42" long with a 19" body length. The body is 4.5" deep, 14.25" at its widest point, 11" wide at the upper bout's top. It's neck is 2" wide at the nut (yes, 2"!)
CONDITION:
Very good overall. The body has plenty of light scuffs and small dings, but overall still looks very nice. The neck has just a little wear on the frets, and is still very straight. A couple of the tuners are tight.
As for playability, it's setup very well for chording. Don't expect to do any blazing lead guitar solos on this baby, she just ain't that kind of girl! The guitar needs a set-up. Doesn't stay in tune. for very long. The Gibson has new ELIXIR strings, and has a gig bag.
