This is a red & black "shorthorn" gold foil guitar. It was made by Matsumoku (Teisco's Holding company).  I am not sure exactly what model this guitar started out it's life as, but it seems someone has altered it to most closely resemble a Danelectro Shorthorn.  The alteration looks really good though, it took me a long time to be absolutely certain that it wasn't made this way in the first place.

It plays and sounds great. The finish has some light dings and scrapes, but functionally this guitar is perfectly fine.  The goldfoild sound beautiful and shimmery.  The tuners look like they are not original, but they hold tune really well. The action is low and comfortable.

The pickup alone is worth about $125-$150. The vintage goldfoils are super hot right now.  Lucky for you, I can't bring myself to part out a perfectly good vintage guitar.  As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action as low as I could.  This guitar DOES NOT come with a gig bag, but message me if you are interested in buying a basic gig bag to go with it for $10.
