This is an absolutely killer sounding and playing original vintage USA made Dobro resonator guitar. I am not to familiar with these, but did a little research, but not sure exactly when it was made, so here are some details that may help the experts do so. there is no serial number anywhere on the instrument, and the fingerboard looks like Red Bean wood (what was used in the 30s), the cone is stamped, not spun, there is a number "14" cast in to the spider near the saddle are (also pointing towards the 30s) and the saddle is maple. The body has a full depth 9 hole sound well with its supporting kerfing on the outside. The neck has a support dowel and is attached to the body thru the hole in the soundwell to a block of wood that rests against it. The body dimensions measure-14 1/4" lower bout, 11" upper bout, 3 1/4" depth at the end block and 3 1/8" at the neck heel, and 19 3/4" long. The square neck has a non tapered heel (same width at the fingerboard and the bottom of the heel) The the cover plate is chrome, and the screen assemblies and tailpiece are nickel plated. Tuners may be replacements. The guitar is in excellent playing condition and was played. There is an acoustic pickup that was added, that attaches to the bottom side of the spider under the saddle, and the jack is on a little bracket that attaches with the screw that holds the tailpiece on, but the wire is broken at the jack. I left it be as the new owner may want to attach a new jack on it and have electric capabilities. THERE WERE NO MODIFICATIONS TO THE GUITAR WHATSOEVER TO INSTALL THE PICKUP!!!!! The original vintage burst finish is very attractive, and looks great but shows its age, with checking, some minor wear and some scratches down to the wood in a few spots. It also looks like a previous owner had his name on the treble side rim with decals that have been removed, so the fading very lightly shows some letters, it is hard enough to see, that I can not make out the name. Also there is a small screw hole at the top edge of the headstock, that looks like a strap button or hook was there. Other than that, this is a killer sounding resonator, with no structural issues or repairs at all. A great vintage Dobro for sure!!! Also I am not sure what model this is, but I am sure you Dobro folks will know! The guitar come shipped in the real nice newer case pictured. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT THIS GUITAR, AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER AND I ALSO CAN SEND MORE PICS IF YOU NEED THEM!!! SHIPPING WILL BE CHEAPER THAN POSTED THE CLOSER YOU LIVE TO NY!!! Thanks, Rob
