Relisting due to being swamped at work over the last few months, and I didn't know that Reverb has "vacation mode."
1. I WILL NOT SHIP THESE. It's not that I'm incapable, and I have no doubt that you can provide extra money to ship them, but I just can't dedicate the time required to dealing with a freight company. So, pick up only!
2. I will NOT split these cabinets up.
3. I gladly entertain OFFERS, so please feel free to MAKE ONE!
These cabs are from back in the days when Crate used to build things in the US, and you can tell this hearing them; they're loaded with US made Eminence speakers built for Crate, and these cabs are plywood. They sound great! They're a bit rare; I rarely see these cabs for sale, as most of the VC stuff was combo amps. I'd rather not say "they're rare," such much as "damn hard to find." They're a bit road worn, but nothing too extreme from 10 feet away. Cat briefly used the grill of one of the cabs as a scratching post, but it's hard to see from the front of the stage (I'll add a close up shot of the cat's reign of terror later). Has remnants of pre-30's apathy, early 20's angst remnants on the back of one of the cabs (call it "vintage political art from '04," just be happy the text: "vote for me I use lube" / "vote for me, I don't" got covered up). Nobody sees the back anyway, and hell, thinner might clean it up, I don't know. They're 3/4 sized, too... so sticking a JCM 800 on there is gonna sound great, but look weird!
I'm only selling this pair of cabs because I have too many guitar cabs, and these haven't been seeing as much use lately since I snagged a vintage Sunn cab. Prior to that, however, these were my go-to speakers. I got a lot of compliments on the look and sound of these, when driven by a Fender Pro-Sonic. Local pick up only! I will gladly meet you at any of the local Guitar Center stores in the Metro Detroit Area to finalize the deal, because that's the one thing Guitar Center does right: Acts as a great place to lie about "wanting to see how this head works with my cabs," plugging it in, testing it, and giving absolutely no money to the store!
