Today, for your consideration - a NAMM exclusive 2002 Fender Esquire! This piece is an exceptional player with a rather unique background. For winter NAMM in 2002, Fender built a limited run of 14 Esquires at their custom shop, each in a different color. This one was special enough to make the cover of Guitar Player Magazine and represent all 14 in the ”New Year 2002” column that was written about the best that had been witnessed at NAMM earlier that year. These guitars all came with VERY heavy duty road cases and suede gig bags underneath. They are the very best that the custom shop had to offer. This guitar plays beautifully and has very little noticeable wear on the fingerboard. There are some markings throughout the body, but that’s because this guitar was professionally toured with several high profile acts (we are only allowed to disclose photographs of it being played on stage after purchase). The guitar includes all of its original case candy, bridge cover, strap, Certificate of Authenticity, and, of course, the May 2002 edition of Guitar Player Magazine on which it is adorned.
