Brian by Bacchus BJB-380 Jazz Bass

"Brian" is a brand of electric guitars manufactured by Divisor Corporation in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, and is a lower-priced brand of Bacchus. Brian guitars were sold for several years in the late 1990s. The brand had a vintage design model and some original design models.

While the Bacchus brand was manufactured domestically, Brian was a brand that addressed the issue of whether it would be possible to produce guitars at the level of Japanese factories at cooperating overseas factories. Therefore, the earliest Brian brand products were designed and manufactured with a focus on traditional models. The guitars have the vintage look and feel of traditional guitars, but with the technology of Bacchus, and are built in a way that is not cheap. Especially, the earliest models are made of standard materials that are not considered in the low-priced models, and the quality is high without sacrificing the basic sound quality. The price was not commensurate with the high quality, so production was regrettably discontinued, and the overseas production line was succeeded by the Bacchus universe series.

Brian by Bacchus BJB-380 is a traditional jazz bass shape in a vibrant Marine Blue color. The body color is an attractive mix of deep green and navy blue. The contrast with the Pearloid pickguard, which is starting to turn a little cream-colored, is very cool.

This BJB-380 can embody the taut jazz bass sound of the combination of an alder body and a pasted maple fingerboard. The matte maple neck has a nice feel and improves playability. The BJB-380 also features a 2-volume control system that allows the player to create his or her preferred sound.

With each parts upgraded, this guitar has enough potential to be your partner.
While priced for beginners, it has enough potential to be a base for modifications.
