For your viewing pleasure is a MARTIN Norman Blake 000-28 B(Brazilian) Signature Model acoustic guitar, which was issued by Martin Guitar Company in approximately 2004. It is a limited edition piece of 100 pieces, but I have seen subsequent references that only 52 were actually made. Mine is #42 and I am the original owner. I have seen only one Martin NB Braz listed, which was on Reverb 6 or 7 years ago and was listed for ~$14K. So these are rare pieces. Currently on Reverb is a Martin 000-28 Brazilian from 1969, which is listed for $15K.
The piece has been rarely played and has spent most or all of its life with me in my guitar cabinet or in its case. I recently changed the strings and played it briefly. I forgot how well this baby plays and the sonic projection was amazing. My guitar guy told me to buy this particular guitar since he he had played the other NBs in the store and this one was the best of the best.
Now the specifics:
000 body style with 12 frets, slot head, bone nut ~1.75", Waverly tuners, ebony fretboard, truss rod (access in the sound hole), Adirondack Spruce top, dark Brazilian back and sides, ~24.9" scale length, 15" lower bout, interior label signed by CF Martin and Norman Blake, and no pickup. No known defects, cracks, or dingies.
