Washburn Spirit, Solidbody Thinline Acoustic Guitar + Mi-SI Motif + Impulse Responses (Fender Acoustasonic/Highway Series Dreadnought Alternative)

Up for sale is a Washburn Spirit I electro –acoustic guitar. For those who are unfamiliar this is a solid-body guitar, a plank if you will…, That looks like a dreadnought, feels like a dreadnought, but has a very thin body. in other words, the guitar itself is a kin to a Silent guitar, and has no acoustic properties of its own; it's as if you are strumming a Les Paul with thick acoustic strings.

However, the magic of this guitar lies in the fact that amplified it sounds absolutely incredible. Most notably because the electronics have been upgraded to a mi-si motif pickup, which is an under saddle pickup with revolutionary technology in that it utilizes for each individual string a mini condenser microphone, meaning that you don't get the regular Piezo "quack" which one associates with under saddle transducers, but it behaves more like six individual many condenser microphones and they pick up the vibrations of the six individual strings in a very "3D" manner… It gets even better if you feed the signal through some custom impulse responses of body resonances of a collection of quality acoustic guitars specifically made for the mi-si motif pickup which I will email the buyer after purchase.

Additionally, this pickup is active, but doesn't run on 9V batteries; in fact it doesn't run on batteries at all, as it draws its power from a capacitor that is rechargeable (which kind of acts like a battery, yeah confusing I know) via the quarter-inch Jack with the included charger, or it can be charged with a 9 V battery and a TRS guitar cable if one ever loses the included charger cable that comes with the sale. One thing to note though however that there is no onboard volume control or tone control, the original volume and tone controls have been disconnected from the electronics in the guitar and now just function to keep the original appearance of the guitar. All in all, this is an ultimate silent guitar solution, that does look like a skeleton guitar… But feels in place like a nice dreadnought, and sounds truly exceptional when plugged in — you to be really surprised about how amazing this pickup technology sounds, and especially when ran through an impulse response pedal. As such, the pickup itself and installation was not for the faint of heart, nor was it cheap… Hence the guitar, because of its own rarity, and in conjunction with this top-of-the-line, but rare and rarely seen pickup technology, with additional custom impulse responses is priced accordingly.
