This beauty was custom ordered by one of our teachers and built to his exacting specs.
Featuring solid Madagascar rosewood back/sides, a solid Adirondack spruce top, and scalloped Adirondack 'Golden Era' 5/16" braces, this 0000 is a pro custom instrument all the way.
The combination of these tonewoods, bone nut/Tusq saddle, and 0000 size combine to create an instrument of organic rich lows and full sweet highs.
Onboard is the Fishman Ellipse system- perfectly represents the natural tone of the instrument.
The volume and tone controls are located in the soundhole for easy access and a clean look.
The larger body size and wider nut makes this the perfect choice for fingerpickers and plectrum players alike.
The body is adorned with custom aesthetics: Vintage toned finish showing off the gorgeous grains, bold herringbone/white boltaron binding, bold herringbone rosette, ebony board without markers, ebony head plate, and open gear Waverly machines- a true work of art.
The mahogany soft V neck is everything you could want in a Martin- .86" 1st fret to 1" 12th fret depth; smooth, fast, and uber-comfortable.
This Custom J-18 is a stellar instrument, with tones and a voice that belies its smaller nature.
This Martin Custom is in excellent overall condition- light play wear.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
It comes with a beautiful hardshell case.
