This is a hand drum with a pickup in it. Sold by Meyers Acoustic pickup company I bought this new in 2015..
It's sold as a djembe style drum that has an active pickup in it with a volume control, so it does require a 9v battery.. sounds cool plugged in through a delay, reverb, or other effects. In great condition looks really cool with a polished finish.. pretty sure it's made of fiberglass, comes with a soft carrying bag. really cool unique musical instrument... THANKS!
