Reluctantly putting my Kanile'a Slothead Tenor up for sale. This is a truly magnificent instrument. Lightweight, incredibly resonant, projects very well, plays like a dream, sounds even better. Like new condition. Comes with a very high-end, well fitted hardcase. Currently strung with a low g string.
Here is what Southern Ukulele Store had to say about it when they originally sold it:
"Quite honestly, one of the finest hand made instruments we have ever seen depart the sunny shores of Oahu. So, so good.
The solid Koa shimmers, dazzles and excites both the ears and the eyes. Crystal clarity of sound, sustain that goes on and on and a tone to die for. Kanile'a's clever touch and release bracing pattern allows more of the top to ring for longer - let's face it, if you spend this much on an instrument you want to hear it for longer.
The Ebony fixtures and fittings really help the sound - as a hard, dense wood, it soaks up minimal vibrations allowing more sound to ring for longer. And the beautiful UV hardened gloss finish works to harden the wood and quicken up the response, sprinkling the sound with more magic."
