Lotus Les Paul copy Mid 70s - Silverburst (tokai factory)

The Moridaira -made Lotus/Morris guitars are the rarest & hardest to find as Lotus/Morris made them at most, for only 2-3 years. These guitars are all solid-bodied and were made in the same factory as Tokai.

Highlights: One piece maple body, Carved Maple top, 6 ply binding on the headstock, 7 ply binding on the front, 5 ply binding on the back, bound rosewood fret board, classic long tenon set neck construction.3 ply pick guard, 22 medium frets, MOP trapezoid, brass nut, brass saddles, 2, zebra humbuckers with 3 point height adjustment and Coil tap switch!

I had to reach out to my Japanese friends in Saga Miko to determine the manufacturer of this guitar. It weighs less than the other MIJ Lotus/Morris LP I have owned. Just prior to Moridaira ceasing its production of the Lotus/Morris LP they made a lighter weight version (probably chambered) before turning it over to the South Koreans. The original Korean made Lotus Les Paul's were bolted necks, not set necks.

This silver burst has all of the Lotus/Morris features of the MIJ Lotus/Morris's guitars (as stated above). This will ship without a case but will be expertly packed.

I bought this guitar thinking I would do some pickup swaps and make an Adam Jones replica, to cover Tool songs, but decided I'd rather sell this son that I can fund some of a custom build. This guitar plays fantastically. I hate to see it go, but I really want a custom 7 string.

Cosmetically in great condition. A small couple nicks on the headstock are the only real damages to speak of.
