Priced slightly higher than usual , cypress wood was painstakingly hardened , with layers of thin set wood hardener to ensure the final body is resistant to dents and dings. Cypress is a gorgeous wood but can be prone to denting But this body is well protected with

Top and back made from old growth cypress reclaimed from the George whiting paper mill.
The George A. Whiting Paper Co. in Menasha Wisconsin was one of Wisconsin's smallest and oldest paper mills for most of its history dating back to 1882. This old growth cypress verified by the USDA forest products lab in Madison Wisconsin to be over 200 years old. A fire ultimately destroyed it in May 2021.
The Cypress material came from the water tower at the factory which was untouched by fire
