I've been preserving this 1965 Fender Jaguar for 36 years just for you!

Whether you're into surf music (like me), grunge or anything in between, it's your turn to curate this wonderful example of the Jaguar line.

For sale is a super clean 1965 model: L-serial number, unbound rosewood fretboard, wearing its original candy apple red finish with matching headstock. All original bridge, mute (with fresh rubber), volume and tone pots, wiring, switches and rhythm pickup. Custom whammy bar crafted from surgical steel in 1987 -- the bar has a sharper curve so you can still reach the volume and tone knobs with the whammy bar poised for action! See photos.

Comes with original Fender Jaguar hardshell case in brown tolex. The spring loaded clasps were replaced in 1987 by Portland Luggage Co. See photos.

Beautifully refretted with vintage style wire by Portland Fretworks in 2011. Rarely played since, with no noticeable fret wear. See photos.

Due to low output, the lead pickup was replaced with a vintage 1980s Seymour Duncan Jaguar lead pickup made in California. It has a nice bite on its own and sounds awesome in combination with the rhythm pickup. (Still have the original lead pickup in the Seymour Duncan packaging if you want to have it rewound and reinstalled.) The rhythm circuit sounds jazzy smooth at the touch of the upper switch.

Dripping with authenticity, from the tiny cigarette burn on the headstock at the low E string to the perfectly adjusted string mute, this is the REAL DEAL. You do not have to settle for a foreign copy when you can own a made-in-Fullerton, California original!

Please watch the demonstration video that shows everything is working, just as it should be.

The guitar will be professionally packed and shipped to you in the lower 48 states, free of charge. No offense, but no sales to foreign buyers or shipping to foreign addresses. No returns.

Thank you for looking. Feel free to make me an offer and start the conversation. You'll be glad you did!
