About This Listing

Product Description

Light wear: Light playwear from use. Extremely well cared for. Damage: None.

Having honed his craft for more than three decades, luthier Del Langejans has a long-standing reputation for his steel- and nylon-string guitars, as well as such unusual custom-made creations as the harp guitar he designed for Muriel Anderson and the double-neck Dualette he built for Thom Bresh. This particular example of steel string acoustic was built in 2003. It features Indian Rosewood back and sides as well as neck for superior tone as well as a beautiful Bear Claw Spruce Top. The body is bound with five plies of Flame Maple, Ebony and Padauk for a perfect accent to the Rosewood and Spruce. A hand made Abalone, Mother Of Pearl and Padauk rosette is fitted around the sound hole to finish off the accent and style of the mustache cut end of the Ebony fingerboard. The back is adjoined with a strip of Padauk for accent and strength. Twenty two frets and a zero fret sit between Tusq nut and saddle for exceptional clarity and supremely accurate intonation. A high gloss hand buffed finish completes this incredible sounding piece of art. Del's guitars at this level come with the beautiful Cedar Creek hard shell cases. The LR Baggs Duet-II (now discontinued) gives you the option to balance between internal mic and under saddle element for the best amplified representation of this instrument.
