Thanks for checking out these Vintage Jensen Alnico 5 speakers.  I rescued these from an old church PA system.  The church had long replaced the rest of the system but had just snipped the wires and left these guys hanging out in their enclosures on the pillars.  They are 6 inch speakers and they are old.  I think they are from 1945 by the code stamped on them and the old transformers still on three of them. Could be later.  Maybe someone else out there knows Jensen production codes better and could fill me in.

I have 5 for sale.  Three are in as found condition.  Dusty and dirty but the cones, though pretty brittle, are still intact and the original transformers are still connected.  The other two I cleaned up, removed the transformer, and put them in a little enclosure to see what they'd sound like.  I ran an Orange Micro Terror through them and they sounded pretty good, but the cones were so dried out and brittle that they tore after about 2-3 hours of playing.  You can see the cones are toast in the pictures.  They will probably all need re-coning.  Sold As-Is.

The word'a Gawd and sacred music played through these things for decades.  Maybe there's a little holy mojo left in these for your vintage combo amp project or old school hifi.

I'd rather sell all 5 for $100 but will sell them individual for $25 each. Shipping to Cont. US via USPS flat rate shipping.  Local pickup around Chicago available and encouraged.
