You're looking at a 2013 Victor Baker Model 16 in Satin Cello Brown. Rarely played, excellent condition.
For those not in the know, Victor is an incredible luthier and player based in NY. He specializes in custom order modern jazz arch tops, and did custom work for D'Angelico guitars. Victor often employs a special sound block under the bridge area to reduce feedback for live performance. I asked for this guitar to have a slimmer block, rather than the large triangular-shaped block he previously did. I also wanted a smaller headstock to insure there was no neck-heaviness. It came out great looking and playing! Lots of punch and clarity from the Lollar pickup.
It's 16" at the lower bout, 2 3/8" deep, with a 25" scale neck and an 1 11/16" nut width. Hand carved European spruce top, maple back and sides, maple neck. I opted for the European Cello woods upgrade (MEGA FLAME as you can see!!!) Double-stained in an incredible rustic Cello Brown finish. Ebony fretboard, tailpiece, bridge, and knobs. There is also an ebony pickguard/fingerrest that I never use that will be included.
The tuners are the best- Gotoh Delta.
High-access neck joint, arm and tummy contours make it very comfortable to play. It weighs 5.8 lbs.
Victor says he's not doing 16" or 17" guitars anymore, so they'll likely get harder to find.
Please note: the included case is the original semi-hard case that came from VB (not the one pictured to support the guitar). If you'd like a photo of it, please let me know.
