This beauty is a 1965 Gibson Thunderbird II bass, refinished in Pelham blue (nitro). The original color was Pelham blue, which you can still see in the cavity. The neck is nice and straight on this one and action is low. It was re-fretted and plays like butter. No neck break on this one, which is pretty prevalent w/ these models. The real remarkable thing about this bass is the sound - it sounds like a p bass on steroids. Really incredible. Everything else to my knowledge is original except for maybe a few screws. It comes w/ the pickup and bridge cover - not sure if they are original but they look like it. One is nickel plated and one is chrome, which is consistent from Gibsons from this era. Comes w/ original case. It's a little beat and the handle is missing. Super light - 7.9 lbs.
