This is one of the more amazing and strange guitars we've seen come through the shop in a while! This is a Teel Guitar Works LOOC Ultra Thin Acoustic Electric Guitar that is Prototype #1 ! The builder Tim Teel is the Director of Instrument Design for C.F. Martin & Co. and this instrument is a lovely, early testament to his vision and skill. For a guitar of any design the amount of low end response here is unbelievable - considering that the body measures 1-7/8" thick makes that even more perplexing! It is incredibly light weight and balanced at 5 lbs and plays with low, light action. TV Yellow finish, X-braced cedar top and lightweight walnut (butternut) body. Mahogany neck with a beautiful Zebrawood 12" radius fingerboard, 24.75" scale length, rosewood bridge, with Tusq nut and saddle. Equipped with a Fishman Blackstack pickup.

The previous owner had it strung with a set of Thomastik 11-40 flatwound strings that feature a wound .015 B string and pair well with the overall feel and versatility of the instrument. There are minor cosmetic impressions and minor fretwear (see photo series for detail). Included is a nice Yamaha-brand hardshell case that is an excellent fit.
