Filmosound 385 Amp 6V6 12AX7 Original

Up for sale is a Bell & Howell Filmosound 385 Specialist Removed from a Bell and Howell Filmosound Specialist 385 16mm sound projector. This amp is original and fair for it's 63 year age. It requires work to become a great guitar amplifier.

This Filmosound 385 was NOT tested and is being offered as is. The amp is about 63 years old.

You will not be able to use this amp until you have it fully serviced.

This is amp is as found, with no changes and appears to be all original and in fair overall condition.

The chassis measures about 13” x 7”x 6”.  

View the photos of the chassis. All parts look original. The inside is original. Tubes include;

• Original Bell & Howell 12AX7 [x2] ,
• Original Bell & Howell 6V6GT [x3] power tubes,
• 5Y3GT rectifier,
• and 5879 preamp.
• PEC tube.

The power transformer has some typical rust on the sides. The Schumacher output transformer indicates the approximate date of this amplifier is 1959.

NO power cord is included!

The amp is ready for your restoration or guitar conversion. This Filmosound 385 will require servicing prior to any use.

At a minimum, work will require;

• Electrolytic Capacitor check and replacement
• Install 3 wired grounded power cord
• Replace the output jacks with 1/4" speaker jacks
• Replace out of tolerance components.

The amp is being sold as is. Due to the sensitive nature of vintage electronics, parts can fail at any time so this amplifier is being sold as is. No returns accepted on this item.
