Buescher Aristocrat Alto Sax - Good Condition – Serviced – Ready for New Owner

Accessories: Comes with a hardshell case, a mouthpiece, a mouthpiece cap, a ligature, and a brand-new Vandoren 2 mouthpiece.

Condition: The actual body of this instrument is in Good Condition. The lacquer finish shows signs of wear and there are some sprinkled patches of slight corrosion – but only on the finish – mostly on the gooseneck and on the low C keyhole. On the actual body, there are no dings or nicks, and, on the bow, there are two dings on the tone-hole side and one thumb-sized dent on the bow edge itself. There are minor scratches overall on this instrument.  None of this affects the playability of this instrument whatsoever. The case is a mess on the outside - the previous owner tried to do some homemade repairs. They taped one side with black commercial duck tape in parts. The case itself is fully functional and works - it just does not look that great. The inside of the case is fine and looks good. See all of the pictures to determine the overall condition of this instrument.

Playability: This saxophone has been serviced and adjusted by Musical Instrument Service in San Antonio, Texas. Keys were adjusted, aligned, and tightened. Some pads were replaced, and the key corks were replaced where needed. It was then checked for playability: It plays beautifully.

Information about this Brand and Instrument:

Buescher instruments have been known for their craftsmanship, tone, and elegance since the company was founded in 1894. Their alto saxophones are popular among professional musicians and artists to this day. In 1963, Buescher was purchased by the French company Selmer, who are also known for their quality instruments. This Buescher Aristocrat Alto Sax was manufactured in 1964, one year after the company was purchased. In 1983, Selmer retired the Buescher brand name. No Buescher instruments have been made since then. This makes this saxophone one of the last examples of the craftsmanship that Buescher was famous for.

This saxophone is in good condition and has all the hallmarks of a classic Buescher saxophone. There are some blemishes in the finish, but the pads and keywork are in good shape. There is some wear on the low C pad - but it works and functions properly.

Many musicians and collectors love to find these horns in playing condition and see these as rare finds.

Terms and Conditions: PLEASE READ Although the musical instruments that I sell are used, they are in good working order unless listed otherwise. Most of them are from collegiate or high school band departments that replace their instruments on a yearly basis. Others have been taken or purchased from a private owner or a musical repair storage room. I never sell instruments that do not work or function unless stated as such. We (me or family members) play everything that I list or have someone else play the instrument if it is beyond our expertise. I also repair and refurbish or have the instruments refurbished or repaired by a professional repairman if needed before they are sold. Again, if this is not done the item will be listed as such. If you have concerns, please feel free to contact me and ask questions. I guarantee all of my musical instruments unless they are sold “AS_IS” and are clearly stated as such. Buy with confidence.
