The Slingshot Shaker combines the frame of a potato masher and various jingles, most often bottle caps, to form a fun, rhythmic rattle capable of fast patterns and a tone that occupies its own space in the percussive landscape.

This is a two-row shaker with a 9" vintage stainless steel frame and a yellow/green swirl bakelite handle. The jingles are flattened gold "Q" tonic water caps. The handle has a small, stable split in the bakelite that's been filled with glue to sure it up completely.

The video linked here features a different Slingshot, but they are rather similar in both pitch and response.
