This is what's called a git-fiddle which is a violin that is converted to a small guitar or in this case a tenor ukulele. I had this one made by GSM out of Florida. The donor violin was from the early '60s. The builder tried to save the look as much as possible, including adding the scroll to the headstock. It plays well and it's quite a showpiece. I'm thinning down my personal collection. Has expected scuffs and dings for an old violin. It's a neat item for any collection.
