Ohhhh boy, get your blue suede shoes on and get ready to rock.
A 2005 road King double bass made by Jason Burns in Riverside, California, this thing is built like a tank. I only had the opportunity to play it twice live once at a house party and another time for a street fair. Other than that, it's lived on a stand or in a gig bag, mostly in the gig bag to protect the finish.
I am the first and only owner of this bass.
Right now it is set up with a bumped set of roto sound RS4000 double bass strings, the doll head pick up is working great, and I have the doll head preamp with it as well. The gig bag is beat on the outside, but I received it like that. Not the best quality but damn as the leopard print lining looks nice.
Did I mention this thing is heavy and built like a tank? My main upright bass is a Blast Cult and it is significantly lighter than this behemoth, from what I remember back in the day these were advertised as six ply maple basses, that combined with the thick finish make this thing weigh a ton and it also surprisingly helps with feedback.
I can't legally say it will make you play better, but people will definitely think you play better.
