This MB-2 bass has a semi-hollow 1-piece mahogany body, a curly Koa top (aged 50 years+), and faux tortoise shell binding. This instrument includes the f-hole option which adds complexity to its sound. The 34” scale neck is from lightly flamed eastern rock maple. The matching bound headstock features the same Koa wood as the top, and the lined fingerboard and bridge are from Macassar ebony. The MB-2 has a piezo pickup under the saddle in the bridge. The fretboard is lined with side dots. It is strung with La Bella Deep Talking Bass strings 760n x-long scale, gauge .060"~ .115". When new, similar instruments to this MB-2 sell in the $4900 price range. This offering includes a custom-made hard-shell case from G & G ($300 value). The instrument is in mint condition with the exception of two small scratches at its base (see photos)
