The Q-3535 is the first Sansui stereo tube amp. It uses heavy Hashimoto transformers running two pairs of EL-34 tubes in push-pull mode for an output of 35 watts per channel.
I bought this in non-running condition a few years ago. I had it refurbished twice. The second time the tech recommended closely matched pairs of new Electro Harmonix EL-34s and that made quite a difference. Very low hours on these tubes. Plug-n-play. There are 2 12AU7s in the front end. Please look at the schematic. The rectifiers are a pair of Matsushita 5AR4s (GZ34). This design was a serious effort to establish Sansui on the international market. It is trouble free and sounds as you would expect from Sansui. It has been in storage for about 4 years.
I had the front panel volume pots bypassed and modern rca jacks installed. It has an original tube cage. Cosmetics are very good. I did not change the screw terminal output strip because the wiring was very tight in there. I’m including a set of L shaped adapters that will facilitate speaker cables with banana plugs.
Please provide address with postal code or zip for a UPS delivery quote. Shipping at buyer’s expense. It’s heavy so it maybe shipping will be more than $100.
