The EXG control is referred to as the "Expander." As you crank it up, the highs and lows are boosted while the mids are rolled out. This gives an airy transparency that's still nice and full and round-sounding. Kind of how a nice chorus makes things airy / shiny. Nice for rhythm guitar, especially.
The EXG is "half" of the controls to the David Gilmour DG-20 system. (The other part, the SPC, rolls UP the mids, sort of opposite to how this control sounds.)
This one is in excellent condition and includes the installation instructions, original box, and brand new output jack / battery clip set. (I need to get a pic of that, coming soon!)
