Here is a real piece of History. 1953 Fender Twin Amp serial #00015. One of the first Twin amps to be made. The Chasis sat in a box unused for many years in the basement of Atlanta Vintage Guitars until Greg, the current owner bought the store a while back and started exploring the basement to see what was there. I heard about it and bought it from him 7 or 8 years ago. The replacement cabinet with correct linen grill cloth were made by Master amp cabinet maker Joe Fusco of Fusco Cabinets in New Rochelle New York. The trannys are original and the caps and all electrolytics were replaced by Gerald Kendrick of Kendrick Amps in Texas. Gerald is famous for His early Fender replicas which incorporate His own special tweaks to enhance the original circuits. This amp was restored to original factory specs using His proprietary caps. The tubes are all super strong American vintage tubes with matched RCA 5881 Black plates and Raytheon and Tong Sol octal preamp tubes. The amp sounds Fantastic! 25 watts of pure sweet Tweed tone coming through a pair of original reconed Jensen P12Q’s and a perfect pine Tweed cabinet. The color is perfect and all the seams and corners line up. The cab is flawless and built to original specs. It gives the amp a huge sound and the perfect tone one would expect from this vintage gem. Since the amp was in storage for a long time, the faceplate is clean and shiny and the lettering is perfect. Because of the replacement cabinet, the amp is priced accordingly. It’s beautiful to look at and a joy to play. With a Tele or Strat it’s Heavenly. You can’t find this Tone on any modern Amp. Because it’s 25 watts, it’s perfect for small and medium sized Gigs and playing comfortably at home. The rare original P12Q’s are rated at 25 watts each, so You can turn the volume all the way up to glorious tube saturation without worrying about blowing the speakers. Here’s your chance to own a rare piece of 50’s Fender History that looks and sounds great at an affordable price. I oversaw every step of the restoration to make sure this rare and iconic amp was done to original factory specs without compromise. If You’ve ever dreamed about owning the perfect vintage amp but thought you couldn’t afford one, this Twin will make your dream come true. Actual shipping will be determined by the location of the buyer and any left over money will be refunded. It’s a large amp and will be well packed to resist rough handling. The tubes will be wrapped separately to avoid damage. A brand new Tuki padded ballistic nylon cover will be included with the amp, a $125 value. I’m very concentious about this and haven’t had an amp arrive damaged in the twenty years I’ve been selling vintage amps. I’m getting a lot of interest in this Killer Amp so don’t wait. Offers are coming in so take Your best shot at this Wonderful piece of early Fender History.
