Vintage 1979 Left-Handed Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar w/ Modern, Nice TKL Hardshell Case! Rare, Original Lefty!

Up for sale is this vintage 1979 left-handed Gibson Les Paul Custom electric guitar. When this guitar came in, we had to offer it and we knew it: our left-handed brothers and sisters out there never get enough love!

This particular example is in nice condition for its age, but does show signs of typical play wear. The original gold hardware shows typical wear and pitting (pictured) and the original black finish shows wear including a few dings, some scuffs, and some light checking (including a little around the switch, pictured). The back of the instrument shows heavy belt buckle rash and worming which we have pictured as well, so please check that out. The binding has yellowed over the years, leading to a truly great looking instrument. As with a lot of Gibson instruments at the time, it is marked "second" on the back of the headstock with absolutely no clear reason as to why. Weight on this one is 10 lbs, 7 ounces.

The instrument is all original with the exception of the changed strap buttons (Fender-style) and missing pickguard. The electronics are straight, with all pots dating to late 1978 from what we can read that isn't covered in solder and the pickups are untouched. Even the original left-handed truss rod cover is intact and present!

This guitar has just been cleaned up and gone over by our tech who adjusted the set up slightly. It really didn't need that much! It plays great with comfortable, low action. The original frets show wear, but still have plenty of life left in them. That being said, there is a little fret buzz at a few places on the fretboard if you're heavy-handed, but there's plenty of room to adjust to accommodate your playing style.

A modern, but slightly used TKL hardshell case is included and the instrument will be well-packed inside to ensure safe shipping.
