Made exclusively for Yamano Music, Gibson's distributor in Japan from 1987 - 2006, this Limited Edition SG Special was manufactured in 1999 and is in stunning condition for a 24 year old guitar. Starting with a substantial, chunky C shaped neck, we find the "Limited Edition" decal on the back of the headstock along with Kluson vintage style tuners and an unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The body sports a large pickguard, ABR-1 stoptail bridge and a pair of powerful open coil 490R/490T humbuckers which are controlled by the typical 2 volume / 2 tone 3-way switch configuration.
The guitar sounds absolutely huge and sustains for days, no doubt aided by the larger neck profile. Fear not though, although it isn't a 60s slims taper it's not in 50s baseball bat territory either.
Cosmetically there are the usual scratches to the pickguard and some minor dings and scratches to the body. Additionally, the frets exhibit almost no wear, the truss rod is fully adjustable, and while the neck has a very slight twist as is common with SG's, it is not noticeable in the hands and doesn't hinder the performance of the instrument in any way.
Comes with pictured the original gig bag, manual and warranty.

We always try to accurately convey the condition of our products, however please bear in mind that feel, performance and even condition are subjective. In light of this, please examine the photos carefully!
When examining a truss rod on a straight neck, we check that it can turn up to about 45 degrees in both directions. When we say the truss rod can be adjusted, we mean it can be adjusted up to 45 degrees. Anything beyond that risks damaging the instrument.
